Advertising Style Guide
Advertising is a key component of University branding. Through its strategic brand presence the University aims to achieve immediate recognition and to clearly differentiate itself from competitor institutions.Advertising employs a range of media to promote the University of Melbourne, but by far the most common is press advertising. Other media include radio, television, internet, and outdoor signage. Whatever the media, it is important that the University is recognized through the visual and auditory sensory perception of the public.
There are three components to the University of Melbourne advertising style in relation to print media: recruitment; course and general; and corporate and campaign.
